Right before quarantine we finished an installation that included this dining room. Our clients had their house built about 7 years ago and loved some of the architectural details (their wood trim!), but were ready for an update. Their dining room furniture had been gifted to their children so this room was a clean slate.
Here is where we started.

While getting to know the clients we knew they leaned toward the farmhouse style and wanted to be sure to have some personal elements woven in as well. We used their previous adventures and family trips as inspiration to choose the artwork, found colors they liked that also complemented the wood work, and designed from there! Here is a quick look at the concept boards provided to the clients.

And here is where we landed on the design!

My favorite feature in this room is the grasscloth wallpaper, love!

We also love how the blue wallpaper and rug play so well with the wood trim and floor, and the small details like this cute planter!

We kept it simple in the dining room, as their house is open concept and there are lots of focal points in the adjacent great room. We love the photo print that will remind them of family trips and now they have a beautiful space to dine and host when their kids come to visit!
